I have just had 2 absolutely amazing weeks! Got to go to Santa Barbara, North Carolina, Napa, and San Francisco and got to see a lotttt of people I have missed! It will take a few posts for me to catch up with pictures though!
Last Sunday I was able to be in N.C. for the celebration of my little nephew’s first birthday! Today is Jackson’s actual birthday, so happy birthday to the cutest, sweetest, chunkiest little love muffin in the world! He has set the bar for his future siblings and cousins veryyy high….
Had enough yet?
Okay, just one more….
Happy birthday Jackson, we love you!!!!!
this past weekend we headed down to Santa Barbara for a fun, yet much too quick, weekend. The main event of the weekend was Kyle’s younger brother’s graduation. Trent graduated from Westmont College with a degree in Psychology. Good news for us is that he got a job near Santa Barbara and will be remaining in California a little while longer. This drive is really not bad, about 4-4.5 hours, and a beautiful drive. Meaning, we need to go visit Trent and all the cute cousins more often! Here are a few pics from graduation.
(We missed you Paige and Jordan!)
Kyle and I were both blessed with very incredible and beautiful moms. We even get to spend the weekend with Kyle’s mom! Happy Mother’s Day to our mamas!
Also, happy first mother’s day to my big sister, who is a natural and wonderful mama. Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!
Happy 39th Birthday to my Mama!!!! Okay, so it’s not really 39, but who’s counting… I have to admit, way back when I was a moody little girl, I didn’t realize how amazing my mom is and that all the advice she gave me is stuff I will keep forever. I’m glad I got over thinking that she was out to ruin my life, because now my mom is one of my very best friends. I love and miss her very very much!
Doubt she will have as much fun this weekend as she had here…..
Man oh man I love that photo. I do know she gets to spend the weekend with her perfect little grandbaby, Jackson, so I am sure she will have a good one. Happy birthday (and mother’s day!) to my wonderful mama! Love you lots Kat Kat!!!!
We are headed out of town to go down to Santa Barbara for the weekend. Kyle’s brother, Trent, is graduating from college! I will update later with pics from the weekend and of our little grad
I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter and the week that followed, we sure did. Easter weekend we kept it lazy, went to an Earthquakes game on Saturday and on Sunday I talked Kyle into going on a hike! Here is a recap in pictures:
Happy May! I believe this is going to be a very fun and exciting month
“I do not mind telling you that within me I find the Easter message and the reality of the Resurrection more beautiful and glorious than the Christmas scene. Christmas tells us that Jesus was born; that He was born for the humiliation of suffering and death and atonement. But Easter is the radiant and glory-filled celebration of Christ’s mighty triumph over the grave and death and hell! When Easter comes, our voices are raised in the triumphant chorus: The three sad days had quickly sped; He rises glorious from the dead! There is the real beauty! This is more than the beauty of color; more than the beauty of outline or form; more than the beauty of physical proportion. In the living Christ is the perfection of all beauty; and because He lives, we too shall live in the presence of His beauty and the beauties of heaven, forever!” - A.W. Tozer
Let’s skip all the blah blah excuses of why I haven’t blogged in over 2 months! Mainly stems down to laziness on my part. I keep thinking of stuff I should post (mmhmm Natalie’s visit overrrr a month ago!), and then feel behind so don’t blog. So I’m going to try to get on at least a weekly update for those of you out there who still care!
Not too much new stuff is going on here. Within the next few weeks, however, things are really going to pick up! More details on that as it happens. I am coming to like Cali much muchhh more and Kyle and I are having a great time exploring. Someday soon I will update with pictures of our apartment, which is coming along nicely. We are both much happier in the new place (we moved in here in Jan).
As of late, weekends have been quite relaxing. Kyle watched Tron twice last weekend… Also we were supposed to bring snacks to small group on Tuesday night (a small group post is needed soon too! ATTENTION: we now have friends ) So of course we had to make the amazing famous Fowler chocolate chip cookies. Then I got into Easter/Spring spirit and we set up a decorating table for some sugar cookies. Forgive these cell phone pics:
Kyle’s little piggy, my personal favorite!!
Also attempted an Easter/Spring pom pom wreath!
So, thanks for still checking in on the blog, and I promise to be back soon! Someone hold me to that!!!!
It was this bloggers 23rd b-day yesterday, and while it wasnt the same as a dinner over looking the pacific ocean like last year it was still a good day (at least i think so). After a long day at work, we headed out to Benihana’s for some quality Japanese food. Then since our oven has been broken for like 3 months I made us (Sarah really) some cookie dough to snack on while we watched Tommy Boy. Sounds like a good day to me.
Oh and she got a bike… Sexy!
